Introduction
Maintaining a clean and organized database is essential for efficient operations. In PAC Classic, leveraging features like Last Import Date and Active/Inactive fields can significantly simplify the process of cleaning up your database. Follow these steps to ensure your database remains up-to-date and streamlined.
1. Search by Last Import Date
- Navigate to Individuals > Advanced Search.
- Specify the last import date, such as 10/1/2024, to identify records imported on or before that date.
2. Update Active Records
- From the results screen, select Tools > Update Fields.
- Choose the "Status" field.
- Replace with "Active" and submit the changes.
3. Identify Inactive Records
- Conduct an advanced search for all "Active" individuals whose last import date is the day before your import date.
4. Set Inactive Records
- From the results screen, choose Tools > Set Inactive to flag these records as inactive.
5. Revert Inactives to Active Status
- Perform another advanced search for all "Inactive" individuals based on the last import date.
- Select Tools > Update Fields.
- Choose the "Status" field.
- Replace with "Active" to reactivate these records.
