Metadata: Created November 2024, product PAC Classic
Overview:
Advanced User Security Options in PAC Classic are a set of features designed to enhance user account security for administrators of the software. These options include forced password changes, stronger password requirements, and login attempt limits.
Features Offered:
- Forced Password Changes: Administrators can set intervals (1 to 99 days) for users to change their passwords. This feature must be requested from Quorum PAC Support or the Account Manager.
- Password Strength Requirements: Passwords must adhere to strict criteria:
- Length: 8-14 characters
- Composition: Must include both letters and numbers in the first seven characters and cannot include the user ID.
- Login Attempt Limits: Users are allowed only three invalid password attempts. After the third attempt, the account is locked and can only be unlocked by a system administrator or by contacting Quorum Technical Support.
Activation Process:
- The Advanced User Security Options can be activated by submitting a written ticket (email) from a System Admin User of the company to Quorum. This request should include the desired forced password interval.
- Quorum will implement the changes accordingly.
Compatibility with eAdvocacy module:
- These security options only affect the login process for the PAC Classic application and do not impact individuals logging into the eAdvocacy Module.
- However, PAC Classic does offer an Advanced eAdvocacy Password Security option, which can be discussed with the Account Manager if interested.
By implementing these Advanced User Security Options, organizations can enhance the security of their PAC Classic software, mitigating risks associated with unauthorized access and data breaches. For further information or assistance with activation, reach out to PAC Support or your Account Manager.
