Introduction
Learn how to utilize PAC Classic's Recurring Credit Card Module to efficiently manage recurring charges for individuals. This guide provides step-by-step instructions on adding recurring charges, managing credit card information, monitoring transactions, and handling failed transactions.
Step-by-Step Guide
- Add a Recurring Charge to an Individual:
- Go to the Individuals Tab and search for the individual.
- Edit the individual's profile.
- Navigate to the Recurring Credit Card Modules section and choose "ADD".
- Fill in the required fields such as Amount of each payment, Frequency, Source, Category, etc.
- Enter credit card information.
- Set the Next Billing Date for the first charge.
- Managing Recurring Charges:
- Charges are sent immediately to PayPal and can be accessed via the PayPal manager console.
- There is no automatic email notification to the donor when the charge occurs, but you can send an email through PAC Classic.
- Monitor transactions in PayPal using the Daily Activity report.
- Use PAC Classic's search and export fields to manage transactions and donors.
- Reporting and Export Fields:
- Utilize the following export fields under the Individual Tab:
- Indiv. Recurring CC Exp. Date
- Indiv. Recurring CC Frequency
- Indiv. Recurring CC Status
- Indiv. Recurring Next Billing Date
- Utilize the following export fields under the Individual Tab:
- Handling Declined Transactions:
- Failed transactions are shown in the PayPal manager console and are sent via email.
- Check the Declined Transaction Codes in PayPal for error details.
- Set up email notifications for failed transactions in PAC Classic Admin/PACs.
- PayPal Login Info / Set Up:
- Fill in the required fields in Admin/PACs once the Recurring Credit Card module is enabled.
- Enter Signio Partner ID, Signio Merchant ID, Signio User ID, and Signio Password.
- Specify the email address for error notifications and customize the failed transaction email body.

Troubleshooting
- Issue: Failed transactions or errors in the PayPal manager console.
- Solution: Review declined transaction codes and error details in PayPal, and set up email notifications for failed transactions in PAC Classic.
