Overview
New Jersey has implemented a new e-filing system, and PAC Classic has gathered essential information to assist you. If you're filing electronically to NJ for the first time, we recommend contacting the PAC support desk for guidance.
Generating the e-File from Quorum

Initiate Filing:
- Click on the "File" link for the report you intend to e-file.
- Select "Download Zip File" and click "Submit."
- Click on the "File" link for the report you intend to e-file.

Obtain Zipped File:
- The downloaded zip file contains 5 files, each formatted for uploading through New Jersey’s e-filing system.
- Only upload files with data; empty files can be disregarded.

Editing the E-Files

Remove Certain Transactions:
- Void transactions: Locate voids in the e-file (negative amounts) and remove them.
- Refunds: Remove refunds from Schedule A – Reimbursements/Refunds of Disbursements.
- Anonymous Contributions: Remove these from the import file; they must be manually added to the ELEC System.

Filing to New Jersey

Access ELEC System:
- Visit NJElecfiling to log in to NJ’s e-filing system (ELEC).

Import Files:
- Upload each e-file in the appropriate section of the ELEC system.

Manual Entry:
- After uploading, manually enter any voids, refunds, or anonymous contributions.
- Contact the New Jersey Compliance Report helpline for assistance on manual entry.
Additional Notes

Occupation Field (Under Contributions):
- Occupations are not imported; you must update them manually after contributions are uploaded.
- A future PAC Classic release will include a NJ Occupation field for easier data entry.

ContributorType (Under Contributions):
- Ensure proper Contributor Type; unitemized transactions should have "Individual" as the Contributor Type.

Expense Category and BenefitType (Under Expenses):
- Choose from pre-defined picklists for these fields; they are not required but can be selected as necessary.
